Hi, I'm Your Inner World Series: Psalm 77
Tuesday Nov 19, 2019
Tuesday Nov 19, 2019
The majority of us would affirm the depths of ourselves as being storehouses for some of our darkest secrets, deepest desires, and driving motivations. The story of our lives would leave us with simple yet inescapable conclusion. We need a renovation of the heart.
A renovation of the heart = a transformation of our lives & the lives around us.
This renovation is precisely what the people of God from old prayed for, the prophets of old looked forward to, what Jesus prescribes and promises, and what God requires. Fortunately and wonderfully-what God requires from us, He in grace supplies for us. Throughout history the answer to the thoughtful exploration and engagement in the process of renovation has generally been prayer, to give voice and value to our inner world guiding and grounding it with the voice of the one who made it, God. While navigating the inner world can seem foreign to some of us we need shared language to show us the way, enter the psalms.
The psalms are a window into the human heart in all of its triumphs & failures, hopes & fears, longings & leadings, strength, & frailty. The psalms in their unbridled audacity have served as the prayer journal for the people of God in everyday life looking to eternity. Furthermore, the psalms have served as a panoramic view of God in all His patience, thoughtful, and sometimes confusing interaction with our hearts. The psalms are proof that we live from the inside out and God meets us and forms us in the same way.

Friday Nov 08, 2019
Friday Nov 08, 2019
The idea, existence, or non-existence of a father casts a large shadow that shapes all of our lives. In this series we explore how God has revealed Himself to us as Father because the Fatherhood of God is central to our understanding of who God is, ourselves, and how we experience life in the here and now. Over the coming weeks we’ll take what may be a tender journey for most, but a necessary journey for all and unpack the dynamics of the Fatherhood of God, reclaiming it’s centrality in our walk.
